My name is Bridget, The Dating Doula.

I take the emotional labour out of online dating, by doing it on behalf of clients who are exhausted by, sick of, or clueless about dating apps.

Think of me as a dating app concierge.

It all started 10 years ago. I dated online for 5, long, soul crushing years trying to find someone I liked enough — and who liked me enough — to fall in love with, commit to and eventually marry.

I failed.

And by my 30’s, I was exhausted and emotionally scarred. I realized, finding full-time love had become a part-time job. So I logged off.

Years later, it dawned on me that while I still wanted to find a mate, I didn't want to waste time or energy doing so.

I needed someone to shield me from the dozens of one-syllable messages, incomplete bios, married and unserious people.

My dream scenario?

That someone would do all the work and then reach out - every few days or so - with a list of pre-vetted matches, on a platter.

So in the spirit of the brave, Katniss Everdeen, I volunteered as tribute.

Thus, The Dating Doula was born.
