Fix your dating profile in 5 minutes

1. No group photos

The group photos must go. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. While you might think you're the cutest in the group, the person on the other side of the screen, may disagree. Why take the risk? Millions of people use dating apps, every day. No one has time to play dating app detective. People are looking for a reason to swipe left on you. Don't give them one.

Delete or crop the group photos.

2. No negativity in your profile!

Don’t use your bio to speak to the people who hurt you. Speak to the person you’re looking for, instead. It’s very simple. Angry and bitter on the apps, usually means angry and bitter in real life. Online dating can be emotionally exhausting however, it’s no excuse to lay your hurt on the screens of strangers on a dating app. 😉 Deal with your emotional 💩. Trust me, dating's way more fun when you do.

3. Smile!

So many people — heterosexual men especially — don’t smile in their profile photos. Big mistake! Especially if your goal is to attract people.

No scowling. You are not a rapper or a rock star. No duck lips (🦆💋). You are not the Calabasas sisters.

4. Update your profile once a month

If you’ve used dating apps for longer than a month, you’ll start to see repeat profiles. Don’t let your profile be the old guy in the club. Here are 3 simple things you can do, once a month, to keep your dating profile fresh:

  1. Delete at least 2 photos.

  2. Upload 2 new photos.

  3. Update the text in your profile.
